Summer Festival and Barbecue
Our annual Festival and Barbecue, a fun-filled family day, is held at the Otter River Sportsman's Club and features raffles, baked goods, games of chance and skill for all ages, children's craft activities and games, music, and, of course, a fabulous chicken barbecue dinner prepared by the talented members of the Sportsman's Club. Tickets for the dinner, which is served from noon to 1 pm, are available in advance at the church and from parishioners; a limited number of tickets are available the day of the event. Hot dog lunches and snacks are also available throughout the day. The success of the Festival is bolstered by the generous support of local businesses. Visitors are always welcome at the festival. The 2009 event will be held from 10 am - 3 pm on Saturday, July 18.
Annual Yard Sale
Spring is a time when everyone's thoughts turn to cleaning out closets, attics, cellars and garages—and our parish family gets into the spirit with a gigantic yard sale in the church parking lot and barn. From toys to sporting goods to the kitchen sink ... you never know what treasure you may find at the Yard Sale! Traditionally, the Yard Sale is held in June, on the Saturday before Father's Day. At this time, however, we are not planning a Yard Sale for 2009.
Holiday Fair
The women of St. Martin's Craft Group work year-round, creating hand-crafted ornaments decorations and other items for the Holiday Fair, which is held on the first Saturday in December. The fair features a Polish Auction with dozens of gift baskets, major prizes, quilt raffle, home-made cookies and candies, fresh wreaths and greens, and more. Stop by to say hello to Santa, enjoy a light lunch and start your Christmas shopping! The 2009 fair will be held from 9 am to 3 pm on Saturday, December 5 and from 9 am to 2 pm on Sunday, December 6, at the American Legion Hall on Central Street in Baldwinville.
