Bishop McManus Dedicates Our New Altar
On Sunday, June 25, 2017, Bishop Robert J McManus came to St. Martin's Church to dedicate the new altar. The altar, designed and built by Bob LeMieur, replaces the altar that was installed in the late '60s or early '70s, following changes instituted in the wake of the Second Vatican Council. The new Sanctuary furnishings are part of a larger renovation and renewal project at St. Martin's, that includes installation of a large painting of our patron, Saint Martin, created by Matthew Brooks, and the return of a large tabernacle that had been used in the church for many years prior to the post-Vatican changes. |
